ChoCo’a has created a range of heavenly chocolate by combining the richest sought-after Belgian chocolate covertures with exclusive and innovative Oriental and Occidental flavors that continue to lure chocolate connoisseurs into this truly unique chocolate experience.

ChoCo’a: a family passion

Assem and Dina Hamzeh had a dream: opening their very own chocolate boutique. After having spent 10 years working in the chocolate business in Lebanon, their dream came to life, and ChoCo’a was born in 2004 in Dubai. Their passion has translated into their business which has flourished wonderfully over the years.

“We use only the finest ingredients to produce the crème de la crème of the chocolate world. However, we also believe that is not only the cocoa beans, but passion, which makes great chocolate. ChoCo’a has an extremely dedicated team, and our strength lies in the attention to the smallest details to ensure a chocolate experience as exceptional as one could really savour”.

ChoCo’a has creative in-house designers that will create chocolate gifts and special arrangements according to your specifications.

Manufacturing Unit :

ChoCo’a’s new addition to the team is Chef Sanaa Katir. Born in Morocco, and belonging to a family that has a passion for cooking, Sanaa’s first step into the chocolate world was at the age of 17.

With a strong foundation from her parents, she became a professional chef at the age of 23 and gained all of her experience through 9 years by working side by side with prominent Chefs in Casablanca and Dubai. Her culinary skills route back to the different courses and trainings she attended from institutions such as Valhorna, Fauchon and Cacao Barry.

Sanaa’s secret behind her artistic chocolates and pastries is combining flavors that blend together to create the best infusion.

Fun Fact: 

  • Her dream is to build her own house from chocolate – nothing is impossible!
  • She will travel the world, on a bicycle if she has to, to attend a food exhibition or a food festival.
  • Although Chef Sanaa loves chocolate but she’s also a health fanatic.

In the Factory, her favorite thing to do is to experiment and discover new flavor combinations.

All of ChoCo’a’s production takes place in a dedicated environment that exercises the highest standards of safety and hygiene, while utilizing equipment with state-of-the-art technology. These strict measures ensure an exquisite final product.

Manufacturing is controlled at each stage – from receiving raw material all through the delivery of the finished product – for a strict adherence to the highest international standard of quality.

In its effort to provide the ultimate professional approach to food safety, ChoCo’a has adopted the internationally recognized Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), a preventive approach to food safety. In 2005, ChoCo’a has received the certification from the British Standard Institution (BSI).
